1. action-packed:
- full of action
- đầy hành động
- E.g. My brother loves action-packed movies. Probably that’s why his favourite film is “Terminator”.
2. addictive:
- a book or film that you quickly become addicted to
- một cuốn sách hoặc bộ phim mà bạn nhanh chóng bị nghiện
- E.g. “Harry Potter” series by Joanne Rowling are so addictive! I couldn’t stop after the first book and read all volumes.
3. creepy:
- producing a sensation of uneasiness or fear, scary
- tạo ra một cảm giác bất an hoặc sợ hãi, đáng sợ.
- E.g. Noah finds Stephen King’s stories creepy.
4. dreary:
- gloomy or depressing
- ảm đạm hoặc buồn bã
- E.g. I can’t stand dramas, thrillers and other dreary movies.
5. entertaining:
- funny and enjoyable
- hài hước và thú vị
- E.g. Comedies are very entertaining.
6. futuristic:
- telling about the future
- kể về tương lai
- E.g. “Star Wars” movie is futuristic and dynamic.
7. heartbreaking:
- that breaks your heart and evokes sad emotions
- điều đó làm tan vỡ trái tim bạn và gợi lên những cảm xúc buồn
- E.g. When my aunt watched “Titanic” she cried all day! It’s such a heartbreaking film.
8. inspirational:
- evoking inspiration
- khơi gợi cảm hứng
9. intense:
- a book or film loaded with actions and emotions that evokes strong feelings
- một cuốn sách hoặc bộ phim chứa nhiều hành động và cảm xúc gợi lên cảm xúc mạnh mẽ
- E.g. The play’s plot was very intense. Just a minute after a couple had a quarrel in the forest, the secret lover appeared and started a fire-fight.
10. tear-jerking:
- tragic, making you cry
- bi kịch, khiến bạn khóc
- E.g. My sister is very emotional. I would rather watch a comedy with her than a tear-jerking movie!
